I was treated with disrespect when I was on jobseeking benefits by man working there so I changed to General Post Office although I live few seconds away from this office to be treated with respect and dignity.

Says it closes at 5:30 here but when I got there at quarter past 5 (after walking 20 minutes with a biggish package) the man standing outside the door said they closed at 5 oclock.

This cute little post office has been a great spot. When they closed the An Post on Shandon street, we called in here to do our postal requirements. The staff are friendly. It is wheelchair accessible. There's wheelchair accessible parking nearby. I went to pick up a package at 12:12 pm because it's supposed to be open until 1 pm and I found the office closed with a sign on the door with the new opening hours, now the office is closed at noon on Saturdays. People were complaining at the door and a woman who was still working inside told us that it is the same time since March 2020 due to the covid but the website isn't update with the new opening time.

Cork might be one of the friendliest cities in the world but this place is an exception to that. I was in Ireland for two weeks and had to mail a package home. They acted like it was a huge inconvenience to them. Customer service is not their thing I guess. Pretty sure they hate their jobs.

Anyone not happy can change post office of their choice. This PO was close to me but I choose the GPO. saw people waiting outside door in all weather to be served. Not for me thankyou.
