I’m very sorry to say that me and my partner we were in limericks general post office today at 10:55 am . We need to registered a post . This staff behind the counter was having a chat with someone we thought they are talking about the post or something and it’s our turn . After standing there for few minutes we realize they are in a conversation about a village and the staff was looking at us as we were having our six month daughter with us. I patiently ask him after all that wait that is this window open to serve costumers and his reply was yes just wait a few min in an attitude . I don’t know how these people are not caught by the managers or management. They are there for work not for having chats with people about their village and ignoring other costumers .

Called to this post office to used Automatic Stamp Sales Kiosk. Was assisted by an An Post staff member in using the kiosk to attain the stamps that I was seeking. I am one of those dreaded nuisence stamp collectors but was greatly assisted by your staff (possibly a manager, didnt get his name but he made my day). I really appreciated the assistance and patience he demonstrated in helping me attain all my targets. Top man.

I am not impressed. 15 minutes waiting on a call center in Dublin. And still no joy. I have work to do. I don't have time to be on hold for 15 minutes. Maybe if Limerick has its own call center maybe the volume of calls wouldn't be so high.

Extremely disappointed today to go into the GPO in Limerick, I wanted to buy a roll of 100 stamps, I was told that as I am not on the list i can't use a cheque, seriously so I asked how do i get on the list of which there are about 6 names on !!! I then had to go to the bank to get the bank to guarantee the cheque and the bank do not do that anymore UUGh. I then went back to the bank to be told that i cannot buy the stamps with a cheque, I am a volunteer with a nationwide charity and I do not have much less carry around €100.00 so what to do? I ended up going to another post office in Limerick and no problem got the stamps. Ridiculous in this 2019 probably some old fart made a rule back in the 1800's and dare anyone break it.

Excellent staff here, knowledgeable and friendly. Could use an ATM on the premises. Can be busy on certain days - two queues, one for general counters, one for postage and parcel post. Accepts debitcards but not creditcards.
