How dose one talk to a service / staff agent at An Post. I tried phoning the Tuam Road depot and no option only to contact the Dublin office. I phoned there and after listening to all options there’s no option to talk to anyone, noe even an option to hold on amid wait for a reply, worst. serviceI ever experienced and I thought Sky Television and Ryanair were bad. Depot and working hours are fine. AnPost deliveries on the other hand never arrives...just a letter. My roommate was at home in the last 2 occassions, never a knocking, a phone call or a honk, just dropping the letter and I have to go to the end of the city if I want my package. I never had any issues with the other big companies (DHL, dpd, GLS), it would be time to give more effort into their services in my area. At the moment if I order something I wish it won't arrive with anpost...

Bad service. They don't even bother to call to let you know your item is being delivered and the collection centre is so far from the city centre with no public transport access.

Well, to be honest, it is too far for a post office, even if it is the principal mails centre of Galway. I think it could be better if one of the post offices in Galway city centre could take care of small deliveries. At least, for me riding my bike up and down the hills up to there, it was far away. Just notice that the centre is not easily visible from Tuam road. As a hint, If you are going there from Galway, then bear in mind that the entry road to the centre is just before the carstore, Kenny Galway.

Today Saturday August 1st, very sad, we are at home waiting for the delivery, no one knocked the door, no one rang the bell, but we received an email from An Post saying that they tried to deliver unsuccesfully 30 mins ago. I guess it depends on the delivery person to knock or ring the bell or not. May be they want to end the shift soon on a Saturday.

This place is an absolutely joke. I'm waiting for a parcel that is supposedly at this center! I can't even talk to an actual person only a Machine! What use is that! Joke is an Understatement!! And the manager could be a little more professorial, the girl at the deck was so much more helpful. Can these people not have a little understand. I have since found out l have being scammed!! But i didn't know that at the time!!

Like all State entities an post give you the impression that they are doing you the customer a favour. The staff are incompetent, arrogant, lazy. Their regular reply to any query is (1) It's a new driver (2) The regular driver is on holidays. The main problem is that the drivers are on 'piecework' ie the quicker they deliver a fixed number of parcels the quicker and shorter their working day is. It is called 'productivity'. That's why the drivers rush around dropping 'failed to deliver' forms through so many doors. No wonder they are loosing millions. They are now thinking of becoming a BANK.!!! An post is a waste of time and money. Thank God for the first class private delivery services that are available

I can't understand how post can be that expensive in Irleand. To day i want send book to friend(0.66kg) and price was 9€ for normal posting. How England can have cheep posting and in Ireland is tha expencive. Meayby if i takeout 40pages from book then will be less 0,5kg :/

Basically where you need to go if you miss a delivery, miles away from the city centre with next to no public transport. Unless you have a car or taxi to it, you're walking on a national route road with no footpath, so not exactly pedestrian friendly.

Worst service in the country. Incompitent workforce, no customer experience, problematic employees that confuse each other, and furthermore don't expect anything from them. They will expect from you! If they cant find something in the depo, they will refer you to the Dublin office even if the parcel is being held by them. Unwelcome, disgraceful pack of meat bags that got their jobs from someone they know. Which made them "qualified". Employees of An Post don't know how their own services work, so don't expect them to provide you with a good one. Be grateful if they can find your parcel by track number and don't forget to "thank" them for their hard job! Mockery of 21st century or time machine to the dark ages.

Extremely poor customer service. I was tracking a parcel which I was expecting and knew I would not be at home at time of delivery and expected the parcel would be returned to the parcel depot. I checked online and then saw that the parcel was at the depot ready for collection. I rang the customer service team to ensure it was at this location but was advised that I must go to my home and collect the note from the failed delivery, before I go to collect the parcel even though I had the tracking number and ID. This was very inconvenient as I was very close to the Depot at the time and would now have to make a second trip to collect the failed delivery note from my home before returning to the same location I was already at to collect the parcel. This was made even more difficult as the depot is not very accessible by public transport and is located on a dangerous road. They also do not have a direct call number for the depot for the queries I had relating to their service.

Worst service in the country. I get packages delivered on the regular. I’ve lived in several different properties in the same county & each time a package is on the way I receive a ‘missed payment’ slip in my letterbox. I barely get a knock at the door nor a phone call to let me know a package has arrived. Staff are quite rude and incompetent of giving a proper explanation. The DSU is 3km outside Galway so having to make this journey regularly to collect a package that should be delivered to you is a joke.

If I could give 0 stars i would. They dont tell you if you have to pay custom charges or how much your charges are before showing up at your door and only take cash. They also have ridiculous delivery times and have no set standards for delivery. Called to ask for my package to be delivered as they chronically try to deliver when I am unavailable and refused stating couldn't because I had custom charges to pay but will redelivery for my neighbors when they have custom charges and they try initial delivery when they arent home. Instead they constantly make me take an hour bus ride to go pick up packages because they either arbitrary make me sign for a package (that the sender never requested a signature) or because of the charges and they refuse to give me notice how much I owe.

Too far out and not served by public service on a road stretch too dangerous for people to be walking...part of it has no path so you walk on the hard shoulder. Despite phone numbers with parcels they tend not to call when ur not home..
