We are from Ukraine. Fled from the war. The husband stayed in Ukraine. Sent us a parcel on May 15th. We tracked it by invoice number. On June 16, the parcel was in Dublin. June 22nd I check where she is. It is written that the parcel cannot be delivered to the address and it will be sent back to Ukraine. I called Anpost, customs. Customs told me that I need to send a letter to An post. I sent, but they didn't answer me. On June 25 my package left Portlaoise mail centre. On June 27, the parcel was sent to London, Heathrow transit hub. June 30 parcel to Portaloise mail centre. On July 4, I went and picked it up myself. Thanks to the employee of this post office, he gave it to me. And it’s good that they didn’t have time to send her to Ukraine. I rated it 4, because I didn’t receive a message, a letter, or a call from An Post, that there was a problem with my parcel.

I was waiting for my son's passport and finally when it was processed sent with Friday evening post, we were due to fly Monday morning, leaving no options other than to go to Portlaoise An Post mail sorting centre, when I arrived found office is closed and no person from An post at site except lady called Deodrie who explained and directed me to other An post office site, Then again there's no person except EV's at charging, eventually Gentleman called Bill Davis, appeared, I explained the situation , he told me he's going to have a look, after 15 minutes of wait he came down with passport envelope, I would like to thanks all An post team and Paddy Ryan who went further miles to assist us, Thank You!!!!!

Worst ever experience with Post office in my entire life. Sending to my both small nieces to Poland last Saturday (11.12.2021) in large envelope Christmas Jumpers and Kids Jewelry, which they needed for this Friday (17.12.2021). Was sent by express post and was cost me 19.50€. Today is 18.12.2021 and envelope which weight is only (0.785kg) still sitting in Port Laois. Why nearly 1 week if was scanned (13.12.2021) at 23.30pm, envelope still sitting there? Why still wasn't send by planes to Poland if planes fly every day, sometimes even twice daily? Last Wednesday (15.12.2021) I sent by courier very big cupboard box (68 ×56 ×39), which was quite heavy 16.40kg, and yesterday around 19.45 o'clock I got email from courier, that truck already left Ireland, which was only 2.5 days and I paid only 20€. Courier transporting parcels by Truck. Courier was only standard sent. What point send express by Post Office if transport by plane is is three times slower then sendind by standard truck? Bravo lazy and incompetent employees in Post Office Port Laois? Never again will send by Post Office. Really not recommend. If will be possible I will give - 5 stars!!! This Post Office should be close immiditiely if mananger allowed do that very bad job and why Manager is useless!!!

Well done An Post for returning the package I paid express postage for from Australia which contained birthday cards, 3 photographs, and 3 bars of chocolate from my children to their grandfather for his 70th. We were not able to travel home due to Covid…. It’s been almost 2 years since we have. Thank you for making a distressing time worse by denying my Dad the heartfelt messages written to him by his daughter and only grandchildren. There was no reason given for why the package was refused. An Australian customs form was attached. Why didn’t you open and check it if necessary? You should be ashamed if this is what you call service. I will not be bothering to post home again.

Every time I try to call there is either no answer or an automated message stating "A customer service agent is unavailable at the moment" Worst place I've ever had to deal with

A parcel had arrived form the US in 4 days, it has been sitting in the center for 3 weeks!!! Can't talk to anyone, gets hanged up all the time. My 92 years old mother is unable to do much, she has a heart conditions and this is the last thing that she needs it. It should be simple, but it's not.

The number is wrong it should be 05786XXXXX. I was getting calls on my mobile number. The number which seems to have a local prefix is not local its based in Dublin. I tried to call them but you get answering machines. I asked the post office, postman even google could not get through but I will put up the proper number when I get it. So sorry about this being a resident in Portlaoise and nobody seems to care but me. I will pursue this issue. As its not right.

Parcel delivered very quickly until it reaches here. Arrived in Dublin Airport, then sent from Dublin (where I am!) to Portlaoise. Sits there for 2 days and counting, takes 24 hours for the updates. It's now 12.32pm, I'm getting an update for yesterday at 3.34pm. Very slow service.

Package arrived in Portlaoise Mail Centre. I had ordered a mini shovel for Bushcraft. My parcel was opened up with the handle of the shovel out through it. It was held together by 3 staples that weren't even correctly put through with a visible 12 inch hole in the bag where anything could've fallen out. Thanks to the Vicky Pollard that done this.

I know this service is under a lot of pressure at this time but Covid has been with us here in ireland in this capacity since March, there is absolutely zero excuse for packages that I’ve sent out to still be undelivered. (when i say packages they are literally the smallest bubble envelope on the market) I sent these on the 5th of January and today is the 19th and some that are still undelivered were posted to local addresses. Some a 15 minute drive from my shop, others 3/4 minutes. I could have walked to some of these houses. I’m sickened. This is no reflection on the hard working postal crew, but the really poor management at the top level.

A parcel from Australia destination italy arrived in portloise the 20 of december then and was possible to track the parcel just till 22 when " Your item was sent from LONDON, HEATHROW TRANSIT HUB"....then the silence . The parcel disappeared ...impossible to speak with someone...on the chat on line in" an post they say me that is not a problem of an post !!!! It was the 22 of december and I' m here still waiting incredible...Probably they miss the parcell but is not their problem

biggest thicks in the country. Never bother to read full address. There's more than 1 dungarven in Ireland. Not the one in Waterford that yea send it to all the time. If yea read the full address you would see its actually going to Kilkenny. Idiots

Terrible service. 4 Days from Poland to Portlaois Mail Centre. Five working days in Portlaois.. When I rang to custromer service they said that parcel will be at my house on Wednesday and evertything is perfect (address ect). Parcel didn't arrive on Wednsdey so I rang to them again on Thursday. She said that don't know when my parcel is but she will check it and will let me know at this same day. When I asked if that can I pick up my parcel from Portlaois (very urgent) she said that don't know where is my parcel so she have to check it first. She didn't do this. In next day I was going there (100 km in one way) but there is no custromer service or reception at this (huge) building. I rang to custromer service when I was outside building. After 20mins lady informed me that yesterday my parcel was send back to Poland and she don't know reason. Do you believe? This parcel it was Christmas gift for my mother. I didn't see her many years. This place should be put under serious investigation. They are playing the system with Amazon items. Anytime I order a large item from Amazon it doesnt make it beyond this centre. I shall be looking for a way to report this centre for theft and damage of items.

Very hard to contact Portlaoise mailing center, actually probably impossible. Anyhow, parcel arrives on time to Ireland then gets caught up in customs so I try to contact them to pay duty if any and cannot get through to them do I must wait and wait....very poor customer service very poor!
