This Beautiful Post Office is so Pretty [ BUT] it is not as Pretty as the Helping Soft Hearts who are inside this Post Office. I went there two weeks ago in order to meet an old work colleague of mine who belongs to this small and quite and clean village situated in this historic part of Ireland [ famous patriot Michael Collins] is from this area. The Lady in the post office and her grand daughters were so helpful and the way they extended kind courtesy to me was exemplary ... I was so impressed. Would recommend all to pay a visit to old museum maintained behind this post office and they must have a nice chat with post office people as they are really really very nice souls... Douglas post office is so well staffed and amazing friendly spirit to all who go about their buissnes. I have heard the ladies inside the counter give great advice to postage/ directions/ shops to visit..well done great service.. I hv also been to the wonderful post office in the beautiful west cork and was offered a cup of tea to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine how wonderful the country post office is to the city...keep them all open I say..if on a vist to the Atlantic way always stop off at the locial post office for directions/ a chat about the locality/ air BNB. Places of interest and a map..you won't be disappointed..
