Absolutely shocking experience with them. 2 lost packages over the last couple of years, practically impossible to get a hold of over the phone. Staff completely unhelpful and not interested. Drivers delivering packages to neighbors without ringing my phone and I am home 99% of the time. Any time I see that DPD is handling my online purchases I know there is going to be an issue with it.

DPD service is a joke. Many times it happened to me that a courier left my parcel to anyone in my vicinity or in a ToTu store without notifying me about it, but recently they have exaggerated. I ordered tires, I did not know who would be the carrier, it turned out that DPD. I got 3 different tracking numbers. 1 was from the sender and 2 from DPD which I set using the application at the pickup point in Gala on dublin road. After a few days of waiting and checking that the parcel is still in Laois DPD depot and a phone call from the seller that the parcel tried to be delivered. I went to Portarlington Laois DPD depot. After a dozen or so minutes in the warehouse, a van arrived without any service, and I asked the driver where my package was kept in the warehouse for several days. The driver started shouting at me, asking "if he wanted to argue or get my package back" I politely gave him the number and was asked to leave the warehouse. He stated that the package was too large to leave at the Gala pickup point. I asked why no one informed me about it, the man said it was my problem to know what package to pick up. Then he threw his tires at me. Greetings to Mr. DPD Portarlington employee, height 185-190, with short dark hair and glasses. For DPD messages, I will provide the shipment number so that you know what's going on at Laois Depot.

Shocking service. Tried twice to get an item delivered and twice it was delivered on the wrong date and the first day they delivered it to the 2nd house on the row of houses when our house number is 1 and fully equipped with an Eircode.... Then when the driver called because we weren't home he got angry with us over the phone and said he's not bringing it out again. Then when speaking to Dpd directly to voice our concerns about this situation the lady on the phone was again unapologetic. We have never dealt with a company as incompetent and abrasive before and I felt anyone dealing with them would need to know what they are like beforehand.

Lost package at xmas, incredibly unhelpful on the phone, never received a follow up to any of my calls. Had to go to the vendor for replacement. I was promised several callbacks about the missing package, I never received one. The lady in the office claimed not to know what I was talking about, even though I had discussed the issue with her several times. In addition to the above, when I was meant to receive a package recently, I received a text about delivery 10 minutes before they tried to deliver, so obviously the delivery was missed. I arrived home 10 minutes later. They were absolutely no help in trying to resolve this, and the lady in the office was particularly rude when I voiced my frustration over receiving the text 10 minutes before they tried to deliver. I'm going to start cancelling orders when I see that they ship with DPD. The drivers seem fine, it's the people in the office who let this depot down.

This is probably the worst company I have ever dealt with. From the company who sent an email with correct details for collection, most of the details being entered in the DPD system incorrectly. The result being that I have to wait yet another day around for the parcel to be collected. This is not the first time either. I would not give it even one star, but unfortunately I can't post it unless I do so. Do not deal with them, if you can avoid it.

This is in the lovely town of Portarlington, not New Delhi.. Having received 2 x e-mails and 2 x texts to my phone from DPD Ireland, one on the day the item valued €150 was to be delivered.. Text said delivery between 10.26 and 11.26. "Not in?" were the next words in the text. A URL then if I wanted to manage delivery. I waited for hour and half by the window awaiting delivery van.. None. I'm assuming the reason they(DPD) asked if I wanted to manage delivery was because the item had to be signed for upon delivery.? 12.30, I called to the reception at the Portarlington office to ask was there a delay. The lady checked her computer and said "Item has been delivered". I told her that I'd just checked my mail box before calling to her office and there was nothing there.. She phoned the driver who said he'd delivered it.. Said "He left it on top of my mail box". I told the nice lady that it wasn't possible to leave anything on top of my mail box but she insisted that's where he left it.. Mystified, I came back home and as there's just 2 mail boxes and one has my house number on it. Nothing there.. Returned to DPD reception and the nice lady put me on to the driver by phone... He said he left it at the end of the building on top of "A" mail box.. Returned home and went all round the buildings but no item. Returned to the reception and the nice lady said she couldn't contact the driver, would I phone later.? I said I'd been trying to get through for the last hour but engaged all the time... "I'm here on my own" was the response. I left my phone number with her and the driver called me 20 minutes later to say he had retrieved my item from where he had left it(on top of a mail box). I asked him to leave the parcel at a certain location as I was back to work. He did, and I have my item now. On the box the item came in is printed in BOLD type my Eir code. My name. My address. My mob. number. 2 x bar codes. They still couldn't find the correct addres. I don't know who signed for the parcel . In future if ordering online. If DPD have anything to do with deliveries, I won't be ordering from any company that use DPD. p.s. "Tell him I left in on top of his mail box"....??? Ya couldn't make it up.

Ridiculous customer service and almost pointless having a phone number because they never answer your calls regardless what time of the day you call. A parcel was never delivered because "I was not home" despite the fact I had been there all day and nobody called to the house. I changed the delivery date and that was the end of that, the parcel seems to have vanished as I can no longer track it and there's no confirmation of a delivery date set. The only thing I will say for DPD is that any drivers I've met are sound.

Got a email from DPD saying they attempt to deliver my parcel on 5th December 2019 7:12pm and an left me a note impossible I have a shop on my property and I am opened to the public from 9AM to 8PM and normally DPD send you a text message an hour before they arrive I didn't get that either very very bad service sent 6 email and I got no replys now they're saying the tracking number is wrong it's the number DPD email me can't contact anyone from DPD so I don't know when or if I will get my parcel they're website says they will make 3 attempts to deliver as far as I am concerned they didn't make the first attempt
