Just got back from there. I found the notice in my post box despite being home, but that's not the biggest issue I have. I was 2nd in the q after 2 girls which one of them didn't have an id. That wasn't a problem and she got her parcel. Then I stepped to the window and I also didn't have an id (I know my bad) but I've been told that I need one. After stating that literally 30 seconds ago the girl got her parcel without one. The guy tried to lie to me that they had their photo id. Again I was standing behind them and the girl said that she forgot her id.

Apparently in a riposte to an increasingly digital, post-covid world, An Post are a cash only operation. Had to pay custom charge on a delivery. Only realised An Post refuse to take card payment when I arrived. Can't say I wasn't warned though, because An Post will always use a biro pen to scribble 'cash only' on the corner of the collection slip which is as long winded as a mortgage application form. Staff are sound.
