Its staff are really lovely and friendly. During the start of pandemic they were probably one of the best managed places i found. They have a range of self service and the post lockers now which are handy and even before get to a desk there is staff who can help you with any info need.

General Post Office has been a life saver during the pandemic. They've been top notch. The customer service couldn't be better in times like this. Sure there is room for improvement; however, we need to acknowledge their dedication. It is wheelchair accessible and friendly. I posted a parcel to US in a box supplied by GPO Cork on Nov 30. When it did not arrive I tracked it only to find it was in a warehouse in Dublin. I emailed An Post and guess what it arrived back in Cork Feb 15. Box torn, and labeled incomplete address. The address was totally ok. An Post parcel service is not fit for purpose. Close it. Privatize An Post, it’s rubbish.

It's the main post office for Cork City where you can purchase envelopes and stamps. Make bill payments, open a savers accounts. Send parcels not sure if you can pick up a parcel from there
